annotate mark textWhen annotating, you are NOT writing an essay – you are annotating the article in preparation for writing a Summary about the article, and in preparation for writing your essay response/reaction to the article.

Therefore, when annotating, you must underline all of the Main ideas, look up every word that you don’t know, and also you must write down your ideas for a future essay about this topic.
