How to Construct a Body Paragraph

March 2, 2023 //  by editor

happy pencilThoughts and ideas must be organized. Do not jump from one idea to another because the reader will be confused about what your point. I know it is difficult to change a habit, but one must learn how to focus and stay on one topic.

Each body paragraph can only discuss one idea, and it must be one of the ideas from your introduction / thesis statement. You tell the reader what the idea is at the beginning of your paragraph, then you discuss the idea and only that idea to explain the meaning to the reader, then you give evidence or an example of someone it happened to, and then you have a final sentence that explains how this is connected to your main topic of your introduction.

This is how you must construct your essay and each paragraph. Otherwise, the reader cannot understand what you are trying to say. You must become very obvious and clear and stay on topic.
